Alessandro Valle

Born in Schio (VI) in 1980, at 16 Alessandro started his electric bass studies with Andrea Rossi Andrea. He moved to Bologna in 1999 to attend DAMS (University Music Academy). He started playing with PropheXy in 2000; at the same time, he developed his studies in jazz and rock styles.

In 2003 he enters Gianni Lazzari’s class at the “G. Frescobaldi” Conservatory (Ferrara). With Lazzari supervision he wrote his thesis for the DAMS music degree in 2005. Meanwhile, he started a durable collaboration with the writer and philosopher Davide Dal Pra.

He developes solo experiments with compositions for electric bass, flute, voice and loop station (‘Abarico’ loop project: www.myspace.com/abarico). The hypnotic architectures mixed with Dal Pra’s reading become another project: ‘Officina Degli Ordigni’.

In 2008 Alessandro, after obtaining the five years degree, leaves the Conservatory to teach at ‘Accademia Musicale ‘ in Schio (www.accademia-musicale.it). In 2009 he started to collaborate with Padova University web radio (www.radiobue.it), proposing with Dal Pra the show ‘La bocca del Trickster’ which won the first prize at Perugia’s FRU 2010 for best italian format in the category ‘university radios’.

In 2010 he attends a chamber music specialization course in Vicenza’s Conservatory ‘A. Pedrollo’. Currently he works as a teacher, musician and composer. One of the last creations is the soundtrack for the slideshow ‘Orissa’ of the photographer Simone Padovani.
